North Woods Elementary hosted their annual Books & Bagels event the morning of February 1, 2018. The event kicked off "I Love to READ" month. Parents, grandparents, and/or guardians came to read with their students, and enjoyed bagels and beverages!! Students love to see family at this event and it's a great opportunity to show student support!

Volleyball practice starts on Monday, August 14th at North Woods. This is for all 7-12 grade students interested in playing. Practice will be from 8-noon everyday from August 14th-18th.
On Friday, August 18th, Varsity and JV practice will be from 3-7 pm. Junior High will have practice at their regular 8 am starting time.

Students signed up to compete with students from other area high schools in certain categories, such as carpentry, paramedic, and graphic design. Friday, January 15, 2016, eight North Woods students competed for the title of 2016 Spelling Bee Champion. Grades 5-8 participated with each grade sending two student representatives to the competition. Abby Koch took 1st place, while Kara Drift took 2nd, and Levi Byram placed 3rd. hanks for visiting the new ISD 2142 website. We are in the process of fine tuning the new site to meet your needs. We have started training our staff and will offer additional training to the employees of ISD 2142 once the new school year starts. Along with the Veteran's program, each year North Woods students participate in the Voice of Democracy and the Patriot's Pen essay contests. The Voice of Democracy is for 9th-12th grade and requires students to write a speech and record it for the judging panel. This year's topic was, "My Vision for America" and the winners were: 1st Place Ashley Vito, 2nd Place Kate Beaudry, and 3rd place Bailey Johnson.
